Bulk Update Pipedrive From Google Sheets
Reassigning 200 deals after a reorg, moving a batch of deals to a new stage or fixing a field on every imported contact: in Pipedrive that means a list-view edit, a spreadsheet import, or editing in a Google Sheet and pushing the changes back. Here is when to use each.
Option 1: Pipedrive's bulk edit in list view
In a Pipedrive list view you can select many records and change a field on all of them at once. It is built in and costs nothing.
- Best when every selected record gets the same new value, such as one owner or one stage.
- Harder when each record needs a different value, or when the change depends on data that lives outside Pipedrive.
Option 2: Pipedrive's spreadsheet import
Pipedrive's importer can take a CSV or Excel file and update existing records instead of creating new ones, as long as the file lets Pipedrive match each row to an existing record (for example by its Pipedrive ID). See Pipedrive's import help for the current matching and merge options.
This handles a different value per row. The cost is the round trip: export, edit in a spreadsheet, save as a file, import, then check the import report for rows that did not match.
Option 3: Edit in Google Sheets and push back
With PipedriveSheets the spreadsheet is connected to Pipedrive, so there is no file to export or import. You pull the records, edit cells, and push only the rows you changed.
- Pull the records you want to change into a sheet with Pull from Pipedrive, using a saved filter so only the relevant records come in.
- Open Settings → Two-Way Sync Settings and turn on two-way sync for the sheet. A Sync Status column appears.
- Edit cells as you would in any spreadsheet: type, paste, fill down, or use a formula to work out the new value and paste it as values. Each edited row flips to Modified.
- Click Push to Pipedrive. Only Modified rows are sent, and the rest of the records are left alone.
For bigger jobs, Tools → Bulk Operations creates, modifies or deletes records in batches, with start, pause, resume and stop controls. Two-way sync and bulk operations are Pro features; the free plan pulls up to 50 rows per sync.

Before you push a large change
- Pull a fresh copy right before you edit, so you are not pushing old values over changes a colleague just made.
- Change one column at a time on the first run, and spot-check a few records in Pipedrive after the push.
- Keep your own working columns (notes, formulas) unmapped. Only mapped columns are ever written to Pipedrive.
Questions
Can I bulk update deals in Pipedrive without a CSV import?
Yes. Pipedrive's list view lets you change one field on many selected records. For a different value per record, editing in a connected Google Sheet and pushing back avoids the export and import round trip.
Which records can PipedriveSheets update?
Two-way sync and bulk operations cover deals, persons and organizations, and Push Notes to Pipedrive writes a column of notes onto matching records.
Does pushing overwrite fields I did not change?
No. Only rows marked Modified are sent, and only mapped columns are written.
